Kirk A. Churukian, MD, FACS

With more than 20 years of surgical training and experience, Dr. Churukian, a dual board-certified plastic surgeon, is well-recognized for his expertise in achieving natural looking surgical results and uncompromising patient care and satisfaction.

In addition to his Los Gatos private practice, Dr. Churukian--highly skilled in reconstructive surgery--serves his community as a trauma specialist at neighboring hospitals. Dr. Churukian also maintains an ongoing commitment to providing the finest breast reconstruction results for cancer survivors throughout the area.

Education and Credentials

Dr. Churukian holds dual-board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in General and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His 5 years of General Surgery residency at UCSF, San Joaquin Valley, included a year as chief resident in Trauma and General Surgery. He completed his training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Louisville where his extensive experience in reconstructive techniques encompassed Microsurgery and Facial Restoration. Dr. Churukian also holds specialized credentials in Hand and Microsurgery from the internationally renowned Kutz & Kleinert and Joseph Boyes Hand Surgery Programs.

Dr. Churukian is a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Santa Clara County Medical Association.

Hospital Privileges

Dr. Churukian operates mainly in his new, state-of-the-art, State-certified operating suite conveniently located in his office. He also holds privileges for plastic and reconstructive surgery at all the major accredited hospitals and surgery centers in the Los Gatos/San Jose area.
